RFC United's Mallory Mann has chosen Creighton University as the place where she will attend school and continue her soccer career on an athletic scholarship, announcing her decision to join Head Coach Bruce Erickson's program this week. Mallory becomes the first player in the club's class of 2008 to make a commitment to a Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) program. Known for its superb mix of academic excellence and success in athletics, Mann found Creighton to be the perfect fit.
Founded in 1878, Creighton is nationally recognized as the leading comprehensive university in the Midwest. Creighton students come from all 50 states and more than 40 countries. CU takes pride in defining the term "student-athlete." Creighton athletics is ranked 23rd in the country and boasts an impressive 94% graduation success rate. In 2007, Bluejay student-athletes averaged a 3.27 GPA.
