CONGRATULATIONS RFC UNITED Jul 15, 2008 In June of 2004, the Reston Football Club formed RFC United as part of the girls expansion program. The nucleus of the United comprised of players from a former USYS Region 1 Championship team along with WAGS Division 1 players from teams in both Virginia and Maryland. Competing in an age group that boasted four teams all ranked in the top twenty-five nationally (McLean Freedom Elite, Richmond Strikers, RFC United, and Vista Hotshots), RFC advanced to the Virginia State Cup Final Four from 2005-2008, finishing as finalists in 2007 and semifinalists in 2005, 2006, and 2008. more... |
